You can dial the number 139 from your BSNL landlines, MTNL landlines, Dolphin, Garuda, Idea, Spice Telecom and Vodaphone telecom operator enabled phones. This attempt has been made to standardize the National Enquiry System by keeping the same telephone No 139, nationwide. This has been recently introduced by the Indian Railways Catering & Tourism Corporation (IRCTC). The previously used call centre no ‘131′ is be closed for service with effect from July 21, as said a press release from the Southern Railway.
